Privacy Policy

The short version

This site has one form. What you type into it is emailed to Damien Komala so he can reply, and it is not sold, rented, or shared with anyone else. Visits are counted with Google Analytics, and nothing you type into the form is ever attached to that. There is no advertising network on this site and no account to create.

What the form collects

The enquiry form asks for your first name, last name, email address, company, what kind of project you need, your budget range, your timeline, and a message. Only the first name, email address and message are required; everything else can be left blank.

Alongside what you type, the notification email records the time the form was submitted and the referring page your browser reported, so an enquiry can be placed in context. Nothing else about your visit is attached to it.

Where it goes, and for how long

Submissions are delivered by Resend (resend.com) to a private inbox, and a copy of your message is sent back to the address you gave so you have a record of it. Resend processes the message in order to deliver it; it is not used to build a marketing list.

Enquiries stay in that inbox for as long as they are useful for the conversation they started, and are deleted on request. Ask, and it is done.

Your IP address

To stop a script submitting the form thousands of times, the server counts recent submissions per IP address and refuses more than five in an hour. That count is held in the server's memory, expires within the hour, and is never written to a database, logged with your message, or used to identify you.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read. It sets a small number of first-party cookies (their names begin with _ga) so that two page views from the same browser can be recognised as one visit. That is what they are for and that is all they do here.

There is no advertising network on this site, no remarketing or ad-personalisation signal is sent, and nothing you type into the form is ever attached to an analytics event. Analytics runs on the live site only — preview builds have it switched off.

Your light/dark preference is kept separately, in your own browser's local storage. It never leaves your device and is not readable by this site's server.

If you would rather not be counted, any browser-level tracking blocker or Google's own opt-out add-on will stop it, and nothing on this site will behave differently as a result.

Hosting and third parties

The site is hosted on Vercel, whose servers necessarily process the requests your browser makes in order to serve the page. Fonts are served from Google Fonts. Those two, plus Resend for email and Google Analytics for visit counts, are the complete list of third parties involved in this site.

Your choices

You can ask what has been kept about you, ask for it to be deleted, or ask that you not be contacted again. Email designedby@damienkomala.com and it will be handled — there is no process to go through.
